missionary is a person sent on a religious mission. a christian is a missionary (means all of us are missionaries)
every person is either a missionary or a mission field.
missionaries are
people who create an
impact in their world.
one of the worst things to do is for a christian to do
nothing
#1 CAPTURE GOD'S PASSION
passion makes us to crazy things sometimes.
God made us passionate for things with eternal value
#2 PLUG IN GOD'S POWER
God gives us supernatural resources for the works of mission.
foundation of missions is the power of the holy spirit.
God will supply all our needs.
#3 COMMIT TO GOD'S PLANJesus is the
person of missions
Spirit is the
power of missions
witnessing is the
plan of missions
we are called to be people of missionsa
witness simply tells the
truth about what he
knows and what he has
seen/heard.

as i was updating the sermon notes right,
i just thought of something..
today is the 8th of december which means:
NINE more days to YI CAMP.........& FOURTEEN more days (2 weeks) to XMAS BASH!BBBBBUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTT.................!!!Xmas bash is not for us to relax and enjoy ourselves. we wanna make use of this event which is EVANGELISTIC to reach out to our friends.
we wanna be people of missions, summore God got give us the great commission leh! (which is matthew 28:18-20). before miracles comes obedience. today i keep hearing people talking about
SALVATION being the GREATEST MIRACLE. so what if God healed their sickness, so what if they heard the gospel? without SALVATION they cannot have a relationship with God.
i mean like. you dont wanna go to heaven one day and see your friends or family members crying out to you from hell, screaming "
WHY DIDNT YOU SHARE ABOUT THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST TO ME EARLIER? WHY MUST I SUFFER HERE JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE TOO AFRAID TO SHARE TO ME?"
and of course everyone of us wants to see zealot area GROW right? dun wanna be stuck with 50+ regulars everyweek right? :D last few weeks (or is months liao) ps daniel talked about the presence of God remember? when we are hungry for more, when we are dwelling in His presence, when we are close to God, then we will catch His heartbeat.PEOPLE, PEOPLEsend revival, start with me ( its the lyrics of a song from very very long ago)ever since i sang that song very very long ago, i started to realise that when we ask God for revival, it has to start from us. we are the tools that God use to draw souls to Him. we need to be use-ABLE tools. God speaks through our mouth AND through our actions.i have no idea why i type so much. but really, - PRAY (pray before planning)
- WITNESS (since we are called to witness)
- INVITE (outreach event, xmas bash)
all of us are missionaries on a mission trip, just that our mission field is in singapore. we are the missionaries. our friends/relatives are the mission field.
