the story of Heidi..

for those hu noe e story pls skip this paragraph =D

heidi is a young orphan.. her aunt got tired of looking after her so she took heidi up to the mountains to look for her grandpa... her aunt wanted the grandpa to look after heidi for her.. her grandpa agrees( but he was given no choice wahahha..) and so heidi lives wif her grandfather.. now both of them r christians.. one day heidi was called by tat aunt of hers to go to the city to keep a city gal company.. she agrees ( no choice again.. ) and off she goes to the city.. but she missed her grandpa lotssss...

she was missing her grandpa so she prayed tat her grandpa can come down from the mountains and stay wif her at the city.. however.. after 6 months.. heidi was impatient as her grandpa did not come down.. she was sad tat her prayers were not answered! budden after awhile more.. the family tat was housing heidi told her tat she can go back to the mountain to stay wif her grandpa!!!!

Moral of the story : God's timing is always rite.. He holds back as He wans the best for u.. =D

now.. how can we be fruitful and bear fruit?
there r 4 steps to be done..

1.) cultivate roots..
Jeremiah 17:7-8
grow deep roots as deep roots are strong..
grow roots for wat?
so tat we can make it thru tough times.. spiritual attacks...
Proverbs 12:3
the roots of the righteous cant and wun be moved..
cactus survive in high temp because they haf roots tat spread out to 50-60miles each... and take note.. in ALL directions!!! haha.. kiasi.. like singaporeans.. lol..
how do we cultivate roots?
read.. medidate.. memorise.. apply.. wat? THE WORD OF GOD..=D

2.) pull out the weeds..
Luke 8:11-14

anything tat prevents u to read, medidate, memorise or apply the word of God... is a weed.. common ones are.. computer games? arcade? going out wif frens? and after u do all tat.. u r tired and go to slp immediately without doing quiet time.. all these are weeds.. n u gotta pull them out..
some uncommon ones are.. ur ministry in church.. yes u might be doing alot for the church.. spending time there doing lots of stuff... n when u get home u r tired and went to slp immediately.. ok.. emphasis put on the "anything".. when i say anything.. i mean anything.. whahah.. =p

if u r not bearing fruit 2dae.. ask urself y.. r u allowing weeds to come and disturb u?
weed of riches.. - u work and work and work.. neglecting God in the process..
weed of pleasure..- maplestory? cs? wwe? 7pm 9pm show? all these take up ur time to bear fruit.. to read the word of God..

to get weeds.. do nothing
to get rid of weeds.. do something..
how to get rid of weeds.. re-adjust ur schedule.. plan time for God.. and lessen the time u spent wif ur weeds.. haha.. =D

3.) partner wif God..

pruning.. John 15:1-2
God prunes us to let us bear more fruit.. any gardener will tell u.. pruning is neccesary for a plant to grow well..
pruning involves..

-cutting the dead
-cutting the alive - the good parts..
the good parts too? y?

pruning away the good parts leave us frustrated and confused.. for example.. u r doing well in ur company.. and God take ur job away from u..
if u co-operate wif God and put the extra time to good use.. u get better.. yea?
if u disagree wif God.. n wan ur job back.. blah blah blah.. den not happy.. frustrated.. neglect God.. e pruning fails.. and u nv benefit from tat pruning..

try to understand ar.... simpler terms.. no pain no gain? haha..

4.) be patient..
a mushroom takes 2 days to grow.. an oak tree takes 60 years to grow.. which one do u wanna be?

Dun give up.. Hold on!!! a bamboo grow for 4 years without any growth.. den in the next 3 months.. it will shoot up high.. imagine u giving up at the end of 3 years.. u dun benefit.. and u waste 3 years.. so i say to u.. dun give up.. =D persist on.. haha..

And Your passion, fire and desire for GOD is reli VERY GREAT!! It increases your FAITH too!! You will even experience things that YOU never experience before even if u are in SNL. Self-control is not an option for us(Christian).

6 ways/steps to achieve self-control

Step 1 - Admit your problem
James 1:14
- it explains about why ppl noe its a sin and they still continue to sun, this may be due to the joy or enjoyment of the sin. (what they get from the sin is enjoyable)
- Stop blaming the fault on others or urself forcus on the problem and try to solve it!!
- You got to be speicific about it. (Be more specific, ask urself what causes them and find soultions outta them)

Step 2 - Forget your past and believe that you can be changed. of cos for the better lolx.
- Phil 3:13-14- Failure in the past does not means you cannot be changed. However, forcusing on past failures will guarantee u a repeition.
- and u got to believe that u can be changed.
- God reminds us to be clear-minded.- Will power will not changed you, but renewal of your mind will saves and changed u =D-
1 Corinthians 10:13- Phil 4:13
- Marks 9:23(everything is possible for those who believes)

Step 3 - Challenge ur feelings!!
Thoughts may come into ur mind like i feel like...i dun feel like...so whats ur job? challenge it!!- U got to know that feelings is not e way to decide things
- Dont give your feelings too much authorityhow how? try to try away things which will let u fall into temptations( yeaps, dont try to play smart and stand there and try ur resistance against it ah =p )- Titus 2:11

Step 4 - You got to have a buddy!
should have heard of buddy system? yeaps it's a system that basically encourage, reminds, or share ur burdens. yeaps sort of bahs.
- Make urself accountable to others.
- What do i look for in a buddy?!?!?

1. Look for the same sex as you de.(haha! dont look for the opposite as u noe this may leads to another problems/temptations. oh yea..hahs its quite funny if u have pornography prob and u tell to a gal, this is so weird and u might get a big tight slap back..hahs)
2. look for someone who you can depends on. ( u gotta make sure that ur buddy's mouth is tight..dont look for those who gossips lolx )

- In order for tis buddy system to work, you got to give them permission to check on u anytime,anywhere.( yeaps this can proves that u r not two-faced. )

Step 5 - RuN fR0m uR tEmPTatIoNs!
- pLan uR life to weaken it

- Best solution?? When you are tempted to do so, get up and take a walk.( make sure u dun look back ahs and dun think abt it as well!!)- BAD COMPANY corruPt GOOD CHARACTER

Gentleness..
interesting fact.. loneliness cause ur immune system to be weaker... haha..
there is a popular book called "how to win frens and influence them".. why is it so popular? it is becuz everybody in this world nids frens..
gentleness = strength under control

wild stallion is useless.. but a tame stallion is useful to its master..
Jesus was actually a muscular man as told by Ps Daniel.. but.. He was gentle.. imagine those strength under control...
gentle =/= weak

show a gentle attitude to everybody..
controlling ur reactions to people = gentleness
there are 6 kinds of people tat u muz be gentle to..

1.) someone who serves u.. -Pastors, Leaders, many more.. haha..
instead of being demanding.. be understanding.. the pastors and leaders are busy too.. i believe they will do their job to the best of their abilities..=D

2.) someone hu dissapoints u ..
be gracious to them..
restore them gently.. correct their mistakes as it is their mistakes tat dissapoints u

no matter whose faith is weak, we gotta accept them..
if u criticize someone sinning, Satan will tempt u in ur weakness too..
if u wan to criticize someone sinning.. make sure u haf never sin in ur life.. tat is impossible.. rmb those ppl hu wanna stone a adultress? Jesus said " let the man hu haf no sin cast the first stone.." no one dare to cast the first stone as they noe they haf sins.. =D

you cant please everybody..
3 ways to handle disagreeing things..
retreat in fear
react in anger
respond in gentleness(the rite one!)
when ppl are angry, they get defensive and sacarstic..
hold on to wat u believe.. yet respecting others..
a soft answer is better.. it almost settles all problems..
one good exception is tat Jesus always answered questions softly and truth.. but they crucified Him..
nv fight a battle when u wun gain anything by winning.. quarreling over if it is rainy or sunny is something like tat.. haha..

we gotta be teachable..

wat does it mean to be faithful? it means to be RELIABLE..
now.. why should we be faithful??? why?

1.) we need to be faithful cuz.. God is faithful! simple! because God is faithful, His children muz be faithful too.. ever heard of like father like son? haha..
Proverbs 20:6 says tat it is difficult to find a faithful man.. izzit? hmm...
2 Timothy 2:11-13 says tat no matter how faithless we r, God is still faithful!
but if we deny Him, He will also deny us.. so pls dun say u dunno Him.. even if somebody is holding u at gunpoint.. i noe difficult.. i nt sure if i can do it too.. haha.. but wif faith we can do it! YEA.. =D

2.) Proverbs 25:19
unfaithful ppl are a pain in the butt.. we muz be reliable.. lets take our water tap for example.. one day u on the tap is pure water.. the other day is 100 plus come out.. den third day is drain water.. diao? isn't it a pain in the butt? so we muz be reliable.. =D when u r reliable..u r dependable too agree? ppl can depend on u.. however.. if u r not dependable, and ppl dun depend on u.. ur talents are uselss..

3.) God rewards faithful people

a faithful man will be richly blessed..

ok HOW to be faithful??

1.) u gotta be a promise-keeper..
watever we promise.. we gotta keep it.. if u dun.. u r not reliable..

it is better not to vow den to vow and den not fulfill it..
if u r reliable. ppl will believe u..

2.) use ur talents..
everybody started simple.. so juz try out wat u r good at.. =D
faithfulness is wat u haf and wat u r doing about it.. ur talents..

3.) share ur faith..
share the gospel!!!!!! =D

4.) maximise ur time..
all of us haf 24hrs a day

wat do we do wif time?
we spend it.. waste it.. or we invest it.. invest it means spending time on something tat will out-last u..
how do we waste time? regret and worry r the biggest culprits.. u regret and worry.. but can u actually do anything abt the past or future? NO! so stop regretting and worrying =D

5.) be faithful to ur fren
a fren in need is a fren indeed..
Proverbs 17:17 personal loyalty..

6.) manage ur money well..
how u use ur money or resouces is a test of how faithful u r to God.. how?

we gotta give regularly..
give 10% of wat we get..
giving should be planned by the first day of the week.. haha.. =D

7.) be at best at sch/work
whoever can be trusted wif little, can be trusted wif much..
to be faithful in life.. first be faithful in little thing..
success comes from being faithful in little things tat others overlook..
be faithful in handling other ppl things.. Luke 16:12

firstly, we noe tat Harry's mum died for him.. she died so tat her son could live on.. in a similar way, Jesus died for us too!! but wat is the difference here? his mum died for him. it is actually quite normal.. any parents would do tat.. however, Jesus died for us when we were unworthy sinners!!! TAT is the difference.. but it all links yea?

secondly, we noe tat the evil voldermort is hiding inside professor quirrel turban in the first year.. we refer Satan to voldermort.. when professor quirrel tried to touch harry.. he couldn't! whenever his skin made contact wif harry's skin, professor quirrel will scream out in pain.. he couldn't touch at all! this is due to the love of his mum.. similarly, Satan or any demons cant touch us! for we haf Jesus inside us!!!! NO WAY r they gonna touch us.. dey will juz run and run.. wahahah...

thirdly, voldermort is always trying to kill harry.. doesn't Satan wants us to go to hell too? isn't Satan always lurking arnd trying to harm us? it is the same way!

eh.. hope this gives u guys more knowledge? haha.. summary.. juz rmb.. although Satan is always trying to harm us, Jesus died for us when we were sinners and tat love and Him being in us.. will protect us.. =D
