as we all know.. we haf juz finished our 40days of purpose campaign.. this would set us on a spiritual high.. however.. we haf to noe how to LAND SAFELY AFTER A SPIRITUAL HIGH..
this is wat this week sermon is abt.. =D enjoy...

as much as we r toking abt spiritual high.. it is the same as in e real world.. when u r coming down from a mountain.. it is more dangerous than climbing up..

for pressure rite.. if the air pressure is v low, the surrounding is very unstable.. if the air pressure is v high.. the surrounding is very stable.. isn't it the same in our spiritual life?
Ps Daniel has a very interesting story abt highs and lows.. u guys muz come to SNL to hear it! haha..
God allows lows to mold us.. it wun be high all the time..
to be Christ-like.. Jesus stays faithful in highs and lows.. during the cruxification.. he remains faithful to fulfil God's will! for He prayed. " Let Ur will be done"
can we stay faithful in both highs and lows?

read Revelation 2:2-5 before continuing

What is "first love" like?
1.) there is an insatiable desire to learn about the other person! (insatiable = sort of extreme)
2.) there is a heavy investments in the relationship!
3.) there is an intense pre-occupation of ur heart!

What can happen to tat love?
Rev 2:4
it says "u haf left ur first love"
haf left! this means u haf a choice.. God always give u a choice! many small choices allow u to stay in ur first love or leave ur first love..

how to stay on this journey? this first love?
1.) remember ur highs
do not let the work for God destroy the work of God within u..
2.) repent
repent = i recognise where i am is not where i am supposed to be. so i turn and move towards where i am supposed to be..
3.) do wat u used to do when u r in ur first love..
ONE STEP AT A TIME
take small realistic steps.. do wat u used to do when u were high.. reading the bible earnestly!

-our character is developed thru our obedience and trust in God during the highs and lows..

hello zealot peeps.. this week has been a tiring yet fun week for me.. tiring as in.. rugby camp.. and after tat.. fri sat sun taken up.. it is tiring.. but i feel tat it is worth it.. rugby camp = training = spirit of excellence.. fri sat and sun is church thingy.. though i haf to be outside my home sweet home.. going to church always bring me closer to God.. it does.. anyway.. here are the sermon notes.. abit late i noe..=D

You were made for a mission. mission in the world.
John 20:21
as God sent Jesus down to earth, Jesus sent us on a mission.
mission = to tell ppl the good news about God's grace = evangelism
and how do u evangelise?
instead of telling ppl tat they are going to hell without Jesus, tell them they are going to heaven if they have Jesus!
we were called to be Jesus's witnesses..
witness = tell others wat u haf seen, ur testimonies!

1.) i muz share wif my oikos.
oikos = people around u
there are 2 things u cannot do in heaven.. share the gospel and sin..
2 Peter 3:9
God wants EVERYONE to be saved.. yes.. even people from other races!
now u may think.. there are so MANY ppl in this world! how to share to everyone!? the key is..
"One by one.. one by one.. one by one.." one by one.. save them all!!!!!

2.) i muz dare to reach outside my world.
-reach out to ppl.. even if they are different from us.. (other races?)
-reach out to the ppl in need.. those hu realli nid love from God..

3.) i must care beyond the world..

things to bring: each person to bring 2 packs of tibits and 1 bottle of drinks!! (mini pot luck!)
attire: NO JEANS!! ONLY pants and tee shirt!! wahahaha..

shape determines ministry..
attitude determines maturity..
the bible says tat when we r kiasi and wan to keep our lives.. we lose them..
when we give up our lives to serve ppl.. we instead find them back =D

1.) serving like Jesus ( well.. He is a perfect model =D) means being available...
be willing to be stopped or interupted..
if u observe well enuff.. u will notice tat Jesus was stopped many times while fulfiling God's purpose for Him.. to help others.. we should learn from Him..

Barriers to be available..
- self-centeredness.. read Philippians 2:4
- perfectionism.. ppl always delay by saying " i will serve after my career is steady"
by the time u finished ur "perfection".. u r often abt to go heaven.. -.-

Christ-like servants do the best wif wat they haf for Jesus today.
-materialism..
when u serve $$.. u haf no time to serve others.. u keep working working. enuff said.

2.) serving like Jesus means being grateful..
-we r not indispensable..

faithful means.. dun give up no MATTER WAT!
u nv retire from service..
how to be faithful?
grateful for the past..
faith for the future.. --- rewards in heaven is ETERNAL.. always rmb tat!

nothing for God is a waste of time. everything is significant..
taking a cup of water for someone is nv a waste of time..
giving someone a pinch of salt is nv a waste of time..

for quite some time i actually thought leaders are like superman... perfect in everyway, holy and innocent, often forgetting that they, too, are humans...until i knew this leader, who told me that he is also a human, please do not expect too much out of him... i thought about it, and began to step into their shoes...now i realise how they feel.... to plan everything out nicely and nobody listens, and foiling the plans.. to set the example and nobody follows... to be pointed out at every mistakes...they are sinners, not perfect, blessed with charisma to lead us into His kingdom... they have done so much for us.... let's encourage our leaders... thank them for leading you all so well all these years... and right here, right now, i salute you all.... jia you!!!

4 brothers love each other so much that whatever they do, they must do them together.... sadly, they are amazingly dumb... they started a business together, a car repair shop... after a year, there was no business at all... no cars came into the shop... why...?

these 4 brothers den decide to change jobs... they change to taxi driving... in the end there is still absolutely no income... why...?

zealot peeps!! how u guys doing?? good? hows ur spiritual life? got do ur quiet time constantly? got read the 40 days of purpose constantly?? wells, u know wat? blessed are the faithful ones... thru out these years, why YI grew so much is because of God's grace!! and we were faithful in our little things that are assigned to us.. dun be "YA YA" that YI split into 2 services.... if each of us are not faithful.... i tell u, our service will die off.. faithfulness is veri important!! faithfulness cause this growth in YI.

F = faithful
A = available
T = teachable
S = servanthood
O = obedience
H = hopeful

so guys.. i urged u all to continue to be faithful in wat u do.. faithful in coming church, cell, reading ur bible, 40 days of purpose, even to ur friends!! and there are so many more things to be faithful for.. press on! be faithful in bringing ur friends to church too.. be faithful in sharing the gospel yeah?

was wondering.. as we split services already, some or rather most of us will face spiritual attacks from devil.. espescially the ones who are serving in a ministry!! the devil dislike and is afraid of us... that's y he cause the attacks.. but!! nono.. we're gonna give in!! guard ur mind and live a godly life!! one thing i suggest to u is to have a constant conversation with God.. know wat pleases Him and wat not...start to have a strong relationship with Him so that you will not fall so easily..

Possible attacks:
1) conflicts among each other. (misunderstandings)
2) a sudden outbreak of parent issue. ( suddenly cannot come church)
3) negative thoughts beautifying ur mind. (nothing bad negative stuffs)
4) temptations. (sexual immortarity, not coming cell grp and church etc.)
5) problems arising. (family, friends, homeworks etc.)
6) distractions. (boy/girlfriend, tv, computer etc.)
7) sudden bad mood, or wat u call mood swing. (PMS.. haha!!)
8) a rebelling attitude, considering bad attitudes too. (dun wanna obey, rebel against leadership)
9) a sudden of "sian diao" feeling. (no passion liao! dun feel like praising God.)
10) oppressions. (while sleeping, suddenly cannot move and difficulties in breathing.)

wat u should do when spiritual attacks happen:
1) dun be scared.
2) reject it in the NAME of JESUS!
3) center ur focus on God.
4) dun keep it to urself. share with LIANGZHI so he can help u out!
5) also be prayful because we are in a spiritual warfare!!
6) get close to God, so that u know wat to do and react.
7) never give up! Push or Press ON!!
8) cry out to God. seek Him and u shall Find Him!!
9) be prayful for another. (cell leader lah, members lah etc.)
10) Praise God when spiritual attacks come! (oh yeah!!)

i hope these will help u.. really push on!! dun let urself be a prey for the devil to eat u up!! keep each other in prayers!! encourage each other. support one another! because we are a body of christ! I need u, U need mi.. NO SOLO!!

objectives:
1) to bring as many people to christ by end of JUNE!! i DUN WAN newcomers but i wan NEW DISCIPLES! peeps that stays on..
2) to expose u for evangelism so that when mission trip comes!! heh heh... u guys are prepare!
3) to cultivate a evangelism lifestyle!

criteria:
u must be a christian who really really really wanna be use by God. really have the compassionate heart to reach out to the lost! someone who is WILLING!! that's all...

Prizes:
it will be given out only when we're in heaven!! Guest of Honour: God. wells, let's not work for the prizes but for God lah! k?
AFG = ALL FOR GOD!

first thing he spoke abt was.. troubles.
Having troubles is a good sign.. weird huh.. haha.. but we r attacked by Satan wif problems is becuz we r faithful and we r going on a direction towards God!! Satan hates tat and he wants to destroy it.. wat is our weapon?
PRAYERS!!!! depend on God guys.. =D

our third purpose in life is the become more like Christ Jesus.

Ephesian 4:15
grow in EVERYTHING.. take note.. God wants us to grow up in every aspects of our life..this takes time.. wat is it?
discipleship!! discipleship takes a lifetime to do it.. u nv stop doing it!!

3 "T"s tat God uses to become more like Christ..

1.) Trials
Trials are situations designed by God to draw us near to Him.
Studies.. ministry.. career.. God doesn't care abt all these.. but He will use these to build ur character.. to mold u..
God is more interested in ur character den wat school or wat jobs u haf.. why? for ur character is eternal.. it will be brought up wif u to heaven.. but career? haha.. we noe it wun be in heaven rite! =D
u can complain of ur sufferings in earth,, but allow God.. allow God's will to be done.. even if it meant u suffering.. Jesus allowed God's will to be done when He was being crucified..

Ps Daniel tells us to keep a spiritual journal.. a record of wat u learned from God..
why?
1.) it helps us see our progress..
2.) it encourages us on.. when we feel discouraged..
3.) it encourage other ppl when dey see it..

2.) Temptations
temptations are designed by Satan, intended to harm.
God always give u a choice when He allowed a temptation to go into ur life.. obey God or give in to temptations and sin.. wat would u do? or tink of WWJD?
"Everyone is tempted in the same way.. Jesus was tempted the way we are being tempted.. if Jesus on earth can do it.. so can we! fight the temptations! temptations is throughout ur life.. it will nv leave u.. but how to fight? hmmm..

keep focused on good thoughts.. when u r being tempted.. stop tinking abt the temptations! tink of other things.. u can even think of how Jesus died for u on the cross..
dun play tug-of-war wif Satan.. He is strong.. juz let go of that rope.. make Satan fall on his butt and hold on to another rope.. ( rope = thoughts in this case)

3.) Trepasses
trepasses are designed by ppl, intent or without intent to hurt us. God allowed it to hurt us..
in this world.. u will be hurt (100%) cuz this world has sins..
to be like Christ.. u need to learn to forgive..
the primary quality of God is forgivesness..

2 tips..
- Rmb God has already forgiven u.. if God can forgive ur mani mani sins.. so can u forgive tat little little sin..
-God EXPECTS u to forgive.. would u?
