revival comes thru prayers!
3 John verse 2
Governing our emotions
-all of us haf emotions..
-even Jesus had emotions.. but! emotions nv had Jesus..
emotion = feelings on the inside caused by pain or pleasure trying to move u in a certain direction.
but alot of times, we let emotions moves us.. let it get the better of us..

we are images of God.. we are spirits! a reflection of God's love, power and authority..
*tripartite*
-man is a spirit.. but lives in a physical body..
our make-up = dirt u noe? =D when a man die, let it be returned to the ground..
our make up return to the ground but our soul is eternal..
we are the spirit tat possess the soul..
soul = tinker,feeler,chooser
when u tink in line wif the word of God.. u r walking in the spirit..

where emotions go = where our lives go
the word of God muz be the final governing authority of our emotions.. of wat we tink!
Jesus was tempted in every ways.. but He never gave in.. even to utmost terror..
He felt terror cuz when He was abt to go on the cross, He will face the burden of sins.. yet He was sinless...
Colossians 3:1-2
-dun follow ur heart...
if i feel something is true, then it muz be.. WRONG!
feelings are neither rite, nor wrong.

it doesn't matter wat u believe.. the fact is still tat Jesus is real!
dun ever tink of suicide.. u got the courage to commit suicide.. u got the courage to live on!
romance will not last, love is not a feeling.. it is a choice.. reject feelings tat is not in line wif the truth..

truth is objective.. nv changes, always consistent
it doesn't mattter if u doubt if God has forgiven u. the fact is tat God has forgiven u! it is a choice..

feelings are subjective.. they change wif ur mood!

1.) wat ur heart says, do it..
liddat i die long ago..
2.) i cant control my emotions..
it is okay to cry.. but! u dun let ur emotions control u! u can choose not to cave in to fear!
we can choose to break anger, control our emotions.. nothing is impossible when God is wif u!
our bodies affect emotions.. still dun let emotions control us..
if emotions run ur life, ur body and mind will pay for it..
why?
-emotions are 60%-100% responsible for the cause of our sickness..
emotions are supposed to be our servants.. but normally.. it becomes our master.
outside of God, we can never understand true forgiveness..
bitterness VS forgiveness..

when u dun forgive, satan will attack u..
true forgiveness..
1.) forgiveness is not forgetting..
-to forget, u muz forgive..
dun wait until forget le den forgive =.=
God chooses nv to use our sins against us.. let's do the same and be Christ-like!
free urself from suffering by forgiving..

2.) forgivness is a choice..
dun forgive? be hooked forever to the past..
forgive? the guilty man is off ur hook but on God's hook now!! for God says.. it is His to revenge..
so main thing.. i forgive for my own sake.. forgive = obedience between u and God.

3.) forgiveness is a decision not to use that offence against anyone anymore..
stop sin! by not letting them offend u again..

4.) dun wait till u feel like forgiving den forgive.. u will nv feel tat way..
haha.. now tink of anyone u nid to forgive? =D get them on God's hook...

getting a bit not wanting to post sermon notes.. but i tink it is a spiritual attack lor.. so like wat i always do.. i force myself out of the attack =p so here u see me =D

Do not conform, be original.

Romans 12:1-2 (main verse)
-do not conform, but be transformed!
u r not whoever u tink u are.. ,you r not what i think u r..u r wat u tink i tink u r.. haha
the story of cinderella.. she became wat the step mother and step sisters says.. a slave.. she din go to the ball even though she v chio.. haha =x most of us are like cinderella! haha..
but God, (the fairy god-mother lor) transforms us! how?
***we nid to realise who we truly are***
-do not conform to the pattern of this world..
God's standards! not the world's standards..
reincarnation is not proven at all.. there is onli one you.. God nv makes anything same same.. even every snowflakes is different.. how mani times it snows.. all different!! cool!!

top designers says that singapore young ppl are unfashionable!
media exists to influence young ppl.. it spends billions of dollars to influence u!!
we shd not compare wif others.. instead.. compare wif wat God wants u to be..
dun tink u r poor.. 90% of the world are poorer den u if u haf at least $5 in the bank.. so we all the top 10% richest ppl wakahahahah =p
to copy others is to cheat urself of wat God has called u to be and do..
transformation comes when u renew ur life..

1.) all behaviour is based on a belief.
thus, we should believe every part of the bible instead believing part of the bible.
2.) behind every sin is a lie i believe.
3.) change always starts in the mind.. wat u tink ~wat u feel ~ wat u do..
it gotta start wif a renewed mind..
4.) trying to change ur behaviour without change in beliefs is a waste of time..
the devil tempts all other men, but the idle men tempts the devil..
(now i noe how to tempt him.. but i wun =p)
involve God in everything..
feed urself the truth..
choose to take the high road! =D
5.) repentance..
it starts in the mind.. not actions..
if u nv change ur mind, why haf one? =D
when Jesus asked his discplies to preach, the disciples asked them to change their mind.

The Will of God.
wat do u understand from this?? tink awhile... haha.. ok.. after this sermon notes.. below there will be the notes for the fast and pray of the national day... so scroll down for it =D

abt God's will..
~God speaks very clearly..
~it is more impt...
~it is specific..
3 things ppl say.. let's see if it is true... =D

first let's discuss 2 different will.. God's will for the individual and for big groups..

individual
-there are ppl wif specific will. like Moses. He was called very CLEARLY to lead the ppl out of slavery in egypt =D
it can be for u to do smth like in the case of Moses.. but is can oso for u not to do smth! =D
how to noe God's will?
When God wants u to do it, He will tell u very clearly..
for God to tell u clearly, u haf to stay connected! -- come church weekly.. read bible.. pray... =D
communication wif God is a two-way thing! u stay connected.. He speaks clearly =D
so when u find urself not hearing from God.. ask urself first.. are u doing ur qt and coming to church? are u praying? =D

groups
He intends for u to discover satisfaction in Him! -Love God, love others =D His clearly, direct commands
READ , PRAY , SHARE! --- three things for us to do DAILY =D
Dun wait till God says.. go usher.. go cafe.. den u start doing ministry.. do it now!
during ur process of ministering, u will find ur giftings.. wat u r good at.. do wat u r good at =D

What is the true will of God?
-Romans 8:29
it says in the verse.. the will of God is for us to become more like Him.. Christ-like..
New Age is actually a religion.. but it is the oldest religion LOL.. it says tat even common folks like us can be gods =.=" lol..
Col 1:15
-Look at Jesus and noe God's purpose for us.
God is more interested in wat u r, den wat u do.. ur character la basically =D
the bible says.. dun marry non-christians! dun yolk wif non-believers..
wan to know hu to marry? - look for someone becoming christ-like
God is concerned abt our spouse... but! He gives us choices!
Philippians 2:5
-u muz ACT and THINK like Jesus..
2Cor 3:18
-the Spirit makes us more and more like Him.. the Holy Spirit is discipling us!! =D

2Cor 4:17
-troubles achieve for us eternal glory..
Every problem in life has a purpose! =D
whatever Jesus went thru, He want us to go thru.. ur problems.. even GOD went thru b4.. so dun complain la.. even if u r suffering.. u r getting God-treatment u noe =p
somemore.. when we get problems like Jesus did.. we become more christ-like.. one stone kill 2 birds aR! =D

What was Jesus like?
Gal 5:22-23
-the way God produce fruit of the spirit is ur life is by putting u in the exact opposite situation and allows u to be tempted to do the opposite.. meaning... example ah..
u r VERY busy.. tml gotta hand up homework.. den ur bro or dog or sis pour coffee on ur homework!!!!! GOODNESS!!!!! u r tempted to WHACKKKKK.. but if u control urself.. u gain self-control =D
Love is unconditional.. if love requires something.. we wun be loved by Jesus at all for we are all sinners =D
Real peace is achieved when u r very busy..
He is gonna train u for eternity.. learn from ur lessons and move on the the next level!
no point no learning and den keep on trying to learn self-control when u dun try to learn =D

if we dun share the gospel.. it is hell eternity for our frens..
a church tat is evangelising but not praying is like getting into a racing car without fuel..
we get minimal results when we dun pray..
either God gets the souls in heaven or Satan gets them in hell.. we choose!
we gotta pray like never before.. dun bother getting into debates.. spend the time to PRAY! =D
why pray?

1.) out of love.. got gospel dun tell = love? dun kid urself =p

2.) out of Godly fear..
we haf the cure.. bible says if God's ppl will humble themselves and pray, God will turn the nation around..

3.) out of knowledge of God's nature..
God is love and dun bear grudges..
God says all man shd be saved..

4.) know the power of prayers..
prayers often suceed when all else fails..
God shd be involved.. He is the one tat draws man -D it is like u r a vacuum cleaner and God is the power supply -D

the prayers of a righteous man is effective..
PRAY AND EXPECTS RESULTS!= D
how to pray?
1Tim 2:1-8
-pray for those in authority..
we pray.. not riot..
peace be on earth so we can share.. cant share during war times..
pray everywhere.. anytime.. =D

pray till results come.. 10 years.. 20 years.. keep on praying! -D
-pray for...
-make non-believers curious abtJesus..
-pray for God to surround the non-believers wif christians tat will share! =D
-pray for a thirst for God-s word..
pray tat they will noe Jesus is the onli way..
ask for grace towards our loved ones..

-Ministry-
first we learn abt..
worship = pleasing Him..
Ephesians 1:5
we were boring to be in His family!!
1Peter 1:3
-we were given a chance to be reborn in His family..
***without the church, u will NOT make it as a christian***
God wants us to learn smth impt.. pls take it down somewhere.. are u guys ready for it? ready? ok here we go....

Love.
yes, tat is wat God wants us to learn.
-None of us are perfect.. we came to earth to practice.. practice love! =D
1John3:16
we muz give up our lives for one another.. that is true fellowship..
"The greater the difference, the greater the potential for growth"
for example.. when i learn how to love someone i hated, i grow.

why serve?
1.) we were created for service! our purpose!!!
Ephesians 2:10
-God made us wat we are, planned our lives to help others.
Romans 7:4
-as the body of Christ, each part of us is to be useful for the service of God.

2.) Serve = christians
no serve = non-christians..
there is no such thing as a non-serving christians!!! so ppl.. start asking ur core leaders how u can serve =p
serving proves tat u belong to Jesus.

3.) serving others is a way to serve God!
-we cant see God, so we serve others! =D

4.) i owe God everything!
Romans 12:1
-i serve others for God died for me...
1Cor 15:56
-all u do for God is of value..
be it u r a pastor, z3 member.. usher.. blah blah blah.. ur service is of value to God =D
if u serve others, u are making an impact on others!

5.) when we serve, we are using our lives to the maximum! haha =D

6.) It makes life meaningful...
throw away ur life for the gospel to know how to live..
if u wanna live, u muz serve..

7.) ur service will be rewarded for eternity..
John 12:26
-God will honnor those who serve..
What u do up there, is determined by wat u do here on earth..
"be faithful in little things, and God will give u greater things.." this is from the bible and this is very true =D

now we noe why we muz serve... now.. how to serve???
using our SHAPE

Every christian is a minister.. minister = servant..
S- spiritual gifts..
there are natural gifts and spiritual gifts.. start doing different ministries to find out where is ur gifts! haha =D

H- heart
passion! all of us haf passion for different things.. i may like singing.. u may not =p
why did God make us different? so tat we can get all things done!
imagine ur sch onli got principals.. no teachers.. how to get things done? u got it =D
we cannot say.. i got no gifts la.. cannot serve ps ar..
NO! research has found out tat a average human has 500-700 skills.. so there is no excuses=D
we are all a perfect 10 in at least something haha =D

A- ability.. wat u can do well? use wat u can do well to serve =D

P- personality..
God loves varieties.. we can see tat as there are mani varieties of birds la.. bettles la.. cars la.. humans la.. all God-created =D hahaha =x
we got different personalities.. do wat we are good at =D

E- Experiences
Romans 28:8
-there are mani experiences.. like ken q maybe played alot soccer games.. he can give advice.. i maybe broken out of online gaming.. i can tell others tat are addicted to online gaming wor..
specify on painful experiences now..

who can console a recently raped gal den someone hu has been raped? u got it =D

2Tim 2:21
those who cleanse themselves of sin will be used for special purposes.. so if u wan God to use it.. u got it =D

God can use broken vessels like those wif painful experiences.. but God can never use dirty vessels so pray and ask for forgiveness daily =D
