Worship That Touch The Heart Of God

Pastor Daniel preaching...

"There's a God shaped vacuum in every man that only God can fill"

What thing seperates us from the world?
Ans: It's the presence of God

Exodus 33:1-3
The Lord said to Moses, "Get going, you and the people you brought up from the land of Egypt. Go up to the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I told them, 'I will give this land to your descendants.' And I will send an angel before you to drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. Go up to this land that flows with milk and honey. But I will not travel among you, for you are a stubborn and rebellious people. If I did, I would surely destroy you along the way."

Exodus 33:15-16
Then Moses said, "If you don't personally go with us, don't make us leave this place. How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don't go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth."

The presence of God makes us different.

Know of God and know God is different.
examples: i know of lee kuan yew and i know lee kuan yew.

Be hungry for the presence of God!

A true worshipper is one who walks closely with God. True worshippers dwell in His presence daily.

3 things we do in order to have presence of God daily:
#1. A HEART THAT LONGS FOR HIS PRESENCE

Exodus 33:15
Then Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here."

*Here referings to desert.

Moses desired God more than God's promises and blessings He desired God more than any treasure God could give him!

Worship for who He is and not the things he does.

True worshipper longs for Him, and not His blessings! God wants our life totally. He does not want us to create a line between us and God.

#2. A HEART THAT OBEYS

John 14:12
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

John 14:22-24
Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"

Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

*Home refering to a dwelling place.

Love and obedience are tied together. If we say we love Him, then we must obey Him. Obedience is the key of true worship. Love and obedience cannot be seperated.

Worship is not a slow song.
Worship is obedience.

Genesis 22:5 (NKJ)
And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

*yonder is refering to somewhere out there.

Many of us have many Isaac (things) which we need to let go. If we don't let go, we are not a true worshipper.

#3. A HEART THAT HUNGERS FOR MORE

What we feed ourselves with is what we will become.
examples: if we feed ourselves with materialsim, we will become materialistic.

Proverbs 27:7
He who is full loathes honey, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.
