EXPERIENCING GOD THROUGH OBEDIENCE
Brother Rixiang sharing...
- Be a Jesus freak, you need to obey God.
- Obedience is a cause => the value of inputs that has been used up to produce something.
- Obedience is believing and trusting in God. 100%!!!
- You need to pay a price to obey God.
The importance of obedience:
Deuteronomy 28:1
- If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
Deuteronomy 28: 8
- The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
The importance of disobedience:
Deuteronomy 28:15
- However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you
Deuteronomy 28:20
- The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.
- Obedience is not a set of rules to follow or abide.
- God gave us 2nd chance.
1. Need to adjust your life out of comfort zone.
John 14:23
- Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he
will obey my teaching. My Father
will love him, and we
will come to him and make our home with him.
Will => decide, choose
- Put God 1st!!!
- God wil work when we decided to come out of comfort zone.
2. The cause of being a servant of God.
Luke 6:46-49
"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."
SERVANTS DON'T ASK QUESTIONS. YOU JUST DO IT!!!
- Focus can kill
- You will have power if you focus on God.
- If you are facing conscious then you are not Glorly conscious.
3. You need to pay a price to obey.
Genesis 22:1-13 (You all can go read yourself, i wont post it out coz it's too long.. ^^)
Genesis 22:15-18
- The angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, 18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."
- If Christianity is not going to cost you, you are wasting your time.
- If you don't want to leave Him, some others will!!
