CRISIS OF BELIEF
Pastor Daniel sharing...
Hebrews 11:6
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- Crisis of belief is a y-junction that demands that you make a decision.
God want us to respond:
1. By Faith
Hebrews 11:1
- Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
2 Corinthians 5:7
- We live by faith, not by sight.
John 14:12
- I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
- Faith is confidence that what God has said will happen. Sight is an opposite of faith.
- Faith does not operate in the realm of the possible. There is no glory for God in that which is humanly possible.
FAITH BEGINS WHERE MAN'S POWERS END.
- Show faith by obedience.
- Obedience indicates faith in God.
- Disobedience often indicates a lack of faith.
Mark 10:27
- Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
- God's assignment, only God can do it.
- We need to be aware how God speaks to us.
- God will not ask us to do something that is within our control.
- What you believe about Him will determine what you do.
- He wants people to know Him through us.
Daniel 3:28-29
- Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king's command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way."
The reason much of the world is not being attracted to Christ. Why?
- God's people lacks that faith that only God can do.
"lift Jesus higher" means let the world see Jesus at work.
- Let Christ be lifted up-not in words but by actions.
2. By action
- Be responsible for our own spiritual life.
- Faith requires actions.
