these are the sermon notes for 30/12/06

our main verse -
Philippians 3:12-16

1.) forgetting ur past
-God gives us memories, it can either be ur fren or ur enemy!
apostle paul once persecute christians, when he became a christian, he was so filled wif guilt!!!
but he CHOSE to forget his past and therefore became an apostle.. haha.. he can never grow if he had guilt in him!

mani ppl became spiritually paralysed by focusing too much on their past.
don't allow ur setbacks to rule ur life!

michael jordan failed mani times! 9000+ misses and 26 times he miss when he was expected to score and win by one point!
do not accept defeat easily.. every dusk has a new dawn
failure can be ur fren! it can cause u to take a different path!

failure is juz one more step closer to success..
in a rough guide in life, a life well-lived consist of 80% failure and 20% success!
troubles will make u strong..

2.) focusing ur priorities
get it right!
make ur big priority to building a close relationship wif the Lord!
be determined to be more active in the kingdom of God

3.) functioning in the present
we all makes plans for someday, but someday will never come!
there are monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday and sunday but no someday!
enjoy life as a christian today..
