as we all know.. we haf juz finished our 40days of purpose campaign.. this would set us on a spiritual high.. however.. we haf to noe how to LAND SAFELY AFTER A SPIRITUAL HIGH..
this is wat this week sermon is abt.. =D enjoy...

speaker: Ps Daniel (he has a new catchphrase.. (one at a time) )

as much as we r toking abt spiritual high.. it is the same as in e real world.. when u r coming down from a mountain.. it is more dangerous than climbing up..

for pressure rite.. if the air pressure is v low, the surrounding is very unstable.. if the air pressure is v high.. the surrounding is very stable.. isn't it the same in our spiritual life?
Ps Daniel has a very interesting story abt highs and lows.. u guys muz come to SNL to hear it! haha..
God allows lows to mold us.. it wun be high all the time..
to be Christ-like.. Jesus stays faithful in highs and lows.. during the cruxification.. he remains faithful to fulfil God's will! for He prayed. " Let Ur will be done"
can we stay faithful in both highs and lows?

read Revelation 2:2-5 before continuing

What is "first love" like?
1.) there is an insatiable desire to learn about the other person! (insatiable = sort of extreme)
2.) there is a heavy investments in the relationship!
3.) there is an intense pre-occupation of ur heart!

What can happen to tat love?
Rev 2:4
it says "u haf left ur first love"
haf left! this means u haf a choice.. God always give u a choice! many small choices allow u to stay in ur first love or leave ur first love..

how to stay on this journey? this first love?
1.) remember ur highs
do not let the work for God destroy the work of God within u..
2.) repent
repent = i recognise where i am is not where i am supposed to be. so i turn and move towards where i am supposed to be..
3.) do wat u used to do when u r in ur first love..
ONE STEP AT A TIME
take small realistic steps.. do wat u used to do when u were high.. reading the bible earnestly!

-our character is developed thru our obedience and trust in God during the highs and lows..

i end this wif.. when u fail, God don't fail! =D
