now.. how can we be fruitful and bear fruit?
there r 4 steps to be done..
1.)
cultivate roots..
Jeremiah 17:7-8
grow deep roots as deep roots are strong..
grow roots for wat?
so tat we can make it thru tough times.. spiritual attacks...
Proverbs 12:3
the roots of the righteous cant and wun be moved..
cactus survive in high temp because they haf roots tat spread out to 50-60miles each... and take note.. in ALL directions!!! haha.. kiasi.. like singaporeans.. lol..
how do we cultivate roots?
read.. medidate.. memorise.. apply.. wat? THE WORD OF GOD..=D2.)
pull out the weeds..
Luke 8:11-14
anything tat prevents u to read, medidate, memorise or apply the word of God... is a weed.. common ones are.. computer games? arcade? going out wif frens? and after u do all tat.. u r tired and go to slp immediately without doing quiet time.. all these are weeds.. n u gotta pull them out..
some uncommon ones are.. ur ministry in church.. yes u might be doing alot for the church.. spending time there doing lots of stuff... n when u get home u r tired and went to slp immediately.. ok.. emphasis put on the "anything".. when i say anything.. i mean anything.. whahah.. =p
if u r not bearing fruit 2dae.. ask urself y.. r u allowing weeds to come and disturb u?
weed of riches.. - u work and work and work.. neglecting God in the process..
weed of pleasure..- maplestory? cs? wwe? 7pm 9pm show? all these take up ur time to bear fruit.. to read the word of God..
to get weeds.. do nothing
to get rid of weeds.. do something..
how to get rid of weeds.. re-adjust ur schedule.. plan time for God.. and lessen the time u spent wif ur weeds.. haha.. =D
3.)
partner wif God..
pruning.. John 15:1-2
God prunes us to let us bear more fruit.. any gardener will tell u.. pruning is neccesary for a plant to grow well..
pruning involves..
-cutting the dead
-cutting the alive - the good parts..
the good parts too? y?
pruning away the good parts leave us frustrated and confused.. for example.. u r doing well in ur company.. and God take ur job away from u..
if u co-operate wif God and put the extra time to good use.. u get better.. yea?
if u disagree wif God.. n wan ur job back.. blah blah blah.. den not happy.. frustrated.. neglect God.. e pruning fails.. and u nv benefit from tat pruning..
try to understand ar.... simpler terms..
no pain no gain? haha..
4.)
be patient..
a mushroom takes 2 days to grow.. an oak tree takes 60 years to grow.. which one do u wanna be?
John 12:24
Dun give up.. Hold on!!! a bamboo grow for 4 years without any growth.. den in the next 3 months.. it will shoot up high.. imagine u giving up at the end of 3 years.. u dun benefit.. and u waste 3 years.. so i say to u.. dun give up.. =D persist on.. haha..
